About This Role

Risk professionals at Goldman Sachs play a critical role in managing the firm's credit, market, and operational risk. As a Risk Associate in the Credit Risk Structured Finance and CRE team, you will be responsible for underwriting large, global commercial real estate mortgage transactions and structured financings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Underwrite complex transactions, including recommending internal risk ratings and setting credit limits
  • Perform transaction reviews, including coordinating with business, legal, and other teams to analyze transactions and ensure appropriate documentation and risk mitigants
  • Represent the Credit Risk team in deal structuring discussions and present credit views to senior management
  • Monitor loan performance and help formulate risk-mitigating strategies as needed
  • Detect and escalate notable industry trends and recommend action to senior management
