Job Description

Position: Business Analyst

This role does not require prior experience in the pharmaceutical sector; however, a strong and confident ability to interpret data in Excel is essential.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of project management principles.

We seek an individual who is comfortable working with numerical data and can articulate insights effectively.

  • Ensuring strict adherence to contractual obligations and SOX compliance while managing daily operations within Unicon Pharma Inc's Trade organization as part of the Managed Markets Strategy & Operations (MSO) team.
  • Assessing daily orders from direct clients against inventory data to ensure compliance with defined inventory thresholds.
  • Monitoring internal performance metrics to identify when direct clients may be low on stock and proactively engaging with them to discuss their inventory strategies.
  • Collaborating with indirect clients, alongside the sales team, to address field stocking challenges and communicate these effectively to buyers and account management.
  • Analyzing returns from both direct and indirect clients, utilizing reports and resources to apply appropriate credit values in accordance with company return policies.
  • Partnering with third-party logistics providers and data management vendors.
  • Providing cross-functional support to internal teams (e.g., Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, Quality, IT, Audits) to achieve the company's strategic objectives.
  • Following company policies to enhance and maintain high levels of customer service for both direct and indirect clients.
  • Acting as a resource for colleagues within the Trade organization (Operations, Strategy, Contracting, and Relations) to support contracting strategies, analytics, and recommendations.
  • Conducting ad-hoc reporting, analytics, and documentation tasks as required by business needs.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, self-initiate, and prioritize ad-hoc deliverables alongside daily responsibilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capable of analyzing data from various sources and presenting findings in a clear and organized manner.
  • Proficient in decision-making, influencing peers, and solving problems collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, is required.
  • Familiarity with contracts, regulations, methodologies, and standard operating procedures is preferred.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry standards and regulations is advantageous.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle/SAP), Business Intelligence tools (OBIEE), Trade data platforms (Integrichain or Valuecentric), EDI data sets (852/867), and visualization tools (Tableau) is preferred.
