About the Organization:
- The organization focuses on education for an underserved group of students from birth to adulthood.
- With over 50 years of experience, they are one of the largest providers of education for this population.
- They operate over 125 locations across the US.
Responsibilities:
- Owning the month-end close process, including posting journal entries.
- Performing account reconciliations.
- Producing financial statements and monthly reporting.
- Serving as a liaison between the General Ledger, Finance, and Procurement departments, as well as communicating with other organization department managers outside of Finance & Accounting.
Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in an accounting role, with at least 1 year of owning the month-end close.
- Experience with Great Plains is a plus, but not required.
