Job Title: Environmental Services Associate

Reporting To:
Director of Plant Operations

Overview:
The Environmental Services Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment within the healthcare facility. This position involves routine cleaning of various areas including patient rooms, clinical spaces, and public areas, ensuring a hygienic atmosphere for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cleaning of patient accommodations, administrative offices, and communal spaces.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of linens throughout the facility.
  • Utilize disinfectants to sanitize surfaces effectively.
  • Replenish essential supplies such as paper products and soap.
  • Perform tasks including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, sweeping, and waste disposal.
  • Manage the disposal of infectious and contaminated materials following safety protocols.

Compliance and Safety:
  • Adhere to established infection control measures and OSHA regulations.
  • Exercise caution when operating floor care equipment.
  • Follow proper lockout/tagout procedures when servicing equipment.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and risk-free environment.

Professional Standards:
  • Comply with all facility policies and procedures.
  • Participate in mandatory training and development sessions.
  • Uphold standards of conduct, appearance, attendance, and punctuality.
  • Support the organization’s quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding employee and patient information.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a commercial housekeeping role.
  • Proof of High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
