POSITION SUMMARY:

The Environmental Services Field Technician is responsible for executing operational tasks related to emergency response and the cleanup of hazardous and non-hazardous spills, as well as Hazmat decontamination work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Engage in confined space operations, including manhole entry, tank cleaning, oil spill response, drum handling, and decontamination activities.
- Operate a variety of light and heavy equipment for cleanup operations, such as roll-off trucks, vacuum trucks, box trucks, skid steers, forklifts, pumps, and pallet jacks.
- Respond to customer spills and emergencies during both regular and after-hours.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.
- Maintain vehicle logs and perform general housekeeping duties, including equipment and site maintenance.
- Execute additional related tasks as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in operating heavy and light equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- A valid driver's license may be required for certain positions.
- Completion of 40-hour HAZWOPER training is preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to successfully complete 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire.

COMPENSATION:
$25.96 per hour.
