We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager - Environmental Planning to join our team at Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing environmental planning projects and ensuring compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

Key Responsibilities
  • Environmental Planning: Prepare and review environmental documents, including Environmental Assessments, Overseas Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact Statements, and Overseas Environmental Impact Statements.
  • Impact Assessment: Assess the environmental impacts of military programs, operations, exercises, construction projects, and force alignments.
  • Investigation and Analysis: Coordinate and control investigations, analyses, and preparation of requested environmental studies.
  • Consultation and Guidance: Provide environmental planning consultation services, professional guidance, and general assistance regarding the National Environmental Policy Act to supported commands.
  • Team Leadership: Lead an individually charted team to complete NEPA documents while mentoring co-workers regarding Navy and Marine Corps compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act.
  • Contract Management: Manage contracts for environmental planning services and ensure that task orders are technically adequate, timely, and cost-effective.
Requirements
  • SECRET Clearance
  • Valid State Driver's License
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Architecture, Computer Science, Mathematics, Hydrology, or Geology
  • Registered Professional Engineer (if hired as an Environmental Engineer)
  • 5-10 years of NEPA experience
