Overview of the Medical Director Role:

  • The Medical Director acts as the chief leader of the program, managing all non-field medical staff.
  • Responsible for delivering essential training to the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Participates in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of new physicians and nurse practitioners.
  • Works closely with the office manager to enhance patient care coverage and medical staff scheduling.
  • Part of the leadership team ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and supporting the evaluation process.
  • Represents AccentCare within the community alongside the Executive Director and business development teams.
  • Expected to exemplify teamwork values and lead community discussions on end-of-life care.

Qualifications for the Palliative Care Medical Leader Position:

  • Must hold an active medical license and DEA in the state of practice.
