The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse II to join our Neuroscience Stepdown Unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process.
- Deliver safe and effective care and interact with other members of the healthcare team to achieve desired results.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor and report patient progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
- A minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse required.
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
The Registered Nurse II will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of patient acuity. The ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, is required.
