Job Description

Schuler North America seeks a skilled Automation Specialist to join our team. As an Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and developing industrial control systems, including software development, testing, and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Establish optimal solutions for industrial control systems based on sound analytical judgment and team input.
  • Software Development: Write high-quality, reusable, modular, and maintainable code for PC-based equipment and motion control software, as well as PLC equipment control and safety software.
  • Implementation: Implement software onsite within predetermined time frames, ensuring timely and efficient completion of projects.
Support Roles:
  • Service and Support: Provide technical assistance to field service technicians and engineers, troubleshoot customer issues remotely and onsite, and participate in on-call service programs.
  • Sales and Project Management: Assist in sales and project meetings, perform as a Project Manager on specific jobs, and prepare and facilitate technical training programs for internal and external customers.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum three years of experience in designing industrial control systems, preferably in hydraulic and mechanical power presses and press automation systems.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office 2010, familiar with ERP systems, and able to learn new software.
