About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lean Transformation Specialist to join our team at Diebold Nixdorf. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in driving business productivity, efficiency, and operations through innovation and project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply LEAN expertise to consult and advise on complex processes and applications worldwide
  • Engage with senior leadership to identify and define business critical process improvements
  • Monitor business analysis progress and status, identifying trends and resolving technical and process issues
  • Advise management on functional progress, status, trends, and issues
  • Engage with Business Operations management to contribute to strategic planning and priority setting
  • Remain current with industry, process, and state-of-the-art technology
  • Lead functional continuous process improvement by recommending enhancements and applying LEAN tools/technologies
  • Provide function-wide insight and leadership
  • Develop project plans and schedules, including task assignments, resources, milestones, review points, and reporting requirements
  • Broadly impact the organization
  • Regularly train, coach, and mentor team members
  • Execute LEAN manufacturing/services techniques and design
  • Use Value Stream Mapping to determine and record business processes and improvement areas
  • Develop principal work standards and line balancing for productivity
  • Identify manufacturing/services cost reductions and provide return on investment (ROI) justifications for change
  • Optimize machine processes to reach product quality, efficiency, and process repeatability
  • Optimize workflow and cell designs and introduce cost-effective automation for productivity and safety advantages
  • Track and execute cost reduction for process improvements
  • Plan, execute, and manage LEAN projects to completion
  • Communicate LEAN philosophy, vision, and expectations to the organization
  • Develop and sustain employee LEAN training and development on LEAN concepts
  • Develop measurement systems supporting LEAN philosophy
  • Engage employees in LEAN initiatives, including but not limited to Value Stream Mapping, 6S Organization, and Kaizen cost reductions
Requirements
  • Minimum of years of relevant experience as a LEAN practitioner or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand production processes and awareness about manufacturing/services operations
  • Ability to understand and lead implementation of low-level automation
  • Ability to understand and follow all quality standards (ISO & customer requirements)
  • Work towards increasing efficiency and safety of the manufacturing/services system
  • Understanding of Maintenance processes and costs
  • Basic knowledge of LEAN tools
  • Ability to analyze complex manufacturing/services data and propose changes leading to higher efficiency and safety
  • Must be a team player and understand motivating and leading a team without direct supervisory responsibility
  • Self-motivated to implement goals with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal, presentation, and interpersonal
  • Strong analytical, technical, analysis, and computer skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on orientation
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent business English skills (written and spoken)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, both domestic and international
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years industry experience in a similar role
  • Direct experience of solutions similar to the DN portfolio (SW, Products, Service)
  • German or Portuguese language would be beneficial
