Job Description

As a Title Protection Specialist at Title One Agency, Inc., you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of title records, conducting thorough title search exams, resolving title issues, and providing risk guidance to the operations team. Your expertise and knowledge of title protection regulations will be vital in safeguarding our clients' interests and ensuring a smooth closing process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Title Production Team, setting schedules, addressing disciplinary actions, training, and providing accountability.

2. Conduct comprehensive title searches and examinations to identify potential issues or defects in the title.

3. Collaborate with underwriters, attorneys, and other stakeholders to resolve title defects and clear outstanding issues.

4. Prepare, review, and approve title commitments, policies, and endorsements, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company guidelines.

5. Provide guidance and support to the operations team, assisting in resolving title-related inquiries, issues, and challenges.

6. Stay updated on industry regulations, changes in title protection laws, and best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including lenders, real estate agents, attorneys, and title insurance underwriters.

8. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of title records, maintaining organized and up-to-date documentation for each transaction.

9. Collaborate with technology and IT teams to leverage automation and software solutions to streamline title protection processes and enhance efficiency.

10. Review and clear banking items daily/weekly/monthly, and review potential fraud items through positive pay and confirm/approve disbursements.

11. Work with partners to ensure submission of 1099 forms to the appropriate sellers.

12. Collect, document, and submit all information as needed in the event a title insurance claim is received.
