Essential Behavioral Competencies:

Collaboration: Engage with clients, design engineers, and production teams to ensure that the quality of hydraulic components and systems not only meets but exceeds specifications.

Analytical Thinking: Evaluate quality data and propose data-driven solutions to enhance quality metrics.

Effective Communication: Convey findings and conclusions to suppliers, customers, and the senior leadership team at HYDAC in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement 8D problem-solving techniques for ongoing process enhancement and reduction of customer defects, including both zero-hour PPM and field warranty claims.
  • Assist cross-functional teams in executing robust corrective actions and enhancing quality systems.
  • Contribute to the development of solid manufacturing processes using the APQP framework, including DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and SPC.
  • Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to address incoming material non-conformities and ensure effective countermeasures are established to prevent recurrence.
  • Partner with project teams to gather customer requirements for PPAP submissions for major OEMs and ensure timely delivery. Resolve any discrepancies with customers or internal stakeholders.
  • Engage with customers and manage customer portals to provide prompt responses to corrective actions, PPAP, and engineering change/deviation requests.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams to assess and resolve internal findings from audits, red-tag processes, and first-pass yield data to proactively mitigate quality defects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics.
  • Familiarity with APQP methodology and its application.
  • Experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three or more years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma principles is advantageous.
  • Experience as an internal auditor is a plus.
