About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Ensemble Health Partners. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of patient information and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Admitting and Registration: Perform admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital, ensuring accurate and timely completion of medical necessity and compliance checks.
  • Patient Communication: Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring clear and concise communication of patient information and instructions.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, ensuring accurate and timely selection of applicable insurance plan codes and benefit data entry.
  • Point of Service Collections: Collect point of service collections and past due balances, including payment plan options, to ensure timely and accurate billing processes.
  • Consent and Education: Explain general consent for treatment forms to patients, obtain necessary signatures, and distribute patient education documents, such as Important Message from Medicare and Important Message from Tricare.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1+ years of customer service experience
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED Required
  • Certifications: CRCR Required within 6 months of hire (Company Paid)
