About the Role

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Specialist to join our team in the Health Technology Industry. As a key member of our Proactive Health Office and Resilient Systems Office, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced technology solutions to support our clients' health and wellness initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expertise and assistance to the Government Program Manager in the execution of multiple advanced technology development programs.
  • Integrate and coordinate program activities with the Program Manager and other government and support team members.
  • Perform detailed task planning and oversee execution progress.
  • Oversee scheduling of program activity and milestones, budget execution, and contractor progress.
  • Lead programmatic and technical discussions with Government and industry teams to initiate new program concepts and discuss program planning and execution approaches.
  • Present program briefings to all levels of the Government.
  • Provide subject matter expertise across the health technology portfolio of projects.
Requirements
  • PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in applied Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, Neural Net training.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, coordinating, and executing technology programs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing schedule, budget, and program risks for fast-paced advanced technology programs.
Desirable Attributes
  • ARPA H, NIH or other federal grant program experience.
  • Multiple years of healthcare experience working with ARPA is highly desirable.
  • Experience in doing a research study as Principal investigator.
  • Expertise in the acquisition of new programs, solicitations, and contracting actions - understanding Government acquisition process.
