We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Scientist to lead our Artificial Intelligence (AI) Assurance efforts at Lockheed Martin. As a key member of our Advanced Technology Labs team, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of AI strategies that ensure the safety, security, and reliability of our complex systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute long-term AI roadmaps that align with Lockheed Martin's business objectives
- Lead the definition of technical content for strategic internal R&D projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of excellence
- Engage with top universities to identify and integrate emerging technologies, promote research aligned with our strategic goals, and establish new partnerships
- Collaborate with US Government R&D organizations, including DoD laboratories and Science & Technology funding bodies, to secure new business ventures
- Mentor junior technical staff and provide guidance on technology transitions from early prototypes to products
- MS with 18 years of experience or PhD with 15 years of experience in an area of science or engineering relevant to assurance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Eligibility to obtain USG Secret Clearance
- Experience in AI/ML areas applicable to Autonomy, Robotics, and Battle Management is desired
