The Coupling Assembly Specialist plays a crucial role in the assembly of various products within the coupling division, while also providing support for all related operations in the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute multiple assembly processes for coupling products, ensuring all components are correctly assembled in line with established operating procedures and technical drawings.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of all ancillary operations within the coupling division, including inventory management, laser operations, shipping preparations, and kitting activities.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading, interpreting, and adhering to basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions to accurately assemble equipment and products.
  • Show capability in managing and tracking Lot numbers, along with the ability to utilize and print job travelers, pick lists, and checklists.
  • Operate all assembly production machinery effectively.
  • Review equipment operations to ensure adherence to established procedures.
  • Be knowledgeable about all precision measuring tools utilized in the workshop.
  • Assist and support the equipment preventive maintenance program.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Essential: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Desirable: Up to 10 years of experience in precision mechanical assembly roles, with a preference for oil field equipment experience. Strong mechanical aptitude is essential.
  • To excel in this role, an individual must satisfactorily complete all outlined responsibilities.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficient in reading and writing in English.
  • Able to translate work instructions and comprehend details related to various manufacturing documents, including instructions, correspondence, reports, procedures, and memorandums.
  • Experience in an Engineer-to-Order or Make-to-Order manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Proven ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and pursuing continuous improvement.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and mathematical skills.

Work Environment/Conditions:

  • This role will involve working approximately 20% outdoors and 80% indoors in a smoke-free office and manufacturing environment.
  • Occasional assignments may require evening or weekend hours.
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to loud.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee will primarily work in an office setting on a computer, with the requirement to walk and be present on the manufacturing floor.
