Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at Resource Professional Solutions. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our warehouse, ensuring the efficient and accurate handling, storage, and dispatch of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Set clear performance expectations and monitor team productivity, ensuring that all team members are working together to achieve our operational goals.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and open communication.
  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, inventory management, and shipping, ensuring that all processes are executed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize workflow and efficiency, reducing costs and improving productivity.
  • Inventory Control:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, ensuring that all products are properly stored and handled.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to identify and resolve discrepancies, minimizing inventory loss and damage.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Analyze warehouse operations to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement, implementing lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into warehouse operations, ensuring that we remain competitive and compliant with all relevant regulations.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Maintain a strong safety culture, conducting regular safety training and inspections to promote a culture of safety and well-being.
  • Technology and Systems Management:
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technologies to streamline operations, ensuring data integrity and accuracy within the systems.
  • Train staff on the use of technology and systems, ensuring that all team members are proficient in the use of our systems and tools.
  • Customer Service:
  • Coordinate with the customer service and sales teams to meet customer requirements and resolve issues, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance metrics, including productivity, accuracy, and efficiency, using data analysis to make informed decisions and drive operational improvements.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve operational performance, ensuring that we are meeting our operational goals and objectives.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in warehouse management or a related role, with a proven track record of success in leading high-performing teams and driving operational improvements.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, with the ability to train staff on the use of these systems.
  • Knowledge of inventory control and logistics principles, with the ability to develop and implement effective inventory control and logistics strategies.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
