Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our team in the Columbus, Ohio warehouse. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our warehouse associates, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of orders, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of 4-6 warehouse associates in all aspects of warehouse operations, including picking, packing, quality control, receiving, and inventory control.
  • Cross-Training: Cross-train in all areas of the warehouse and demonstrate the ability to perform all tasks efficiently.
  • Training and Development: Train new incoming members of your team and ensure they are properly equipped to perform their duties.
  • Quality and Accuracy: Maintain a standard of high-quality work and accuracy in all aspects of warehouse operations.
  • Work Pace and Efficiency: Set the work pace, efficiency, and work accuracy for your team and ensure they meet or exceed expectations.
  • Warehouse SOPs: Ensure your team maintains warehouse standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adheres to company policies.
  • Facility Operations: Open and close the facility as needed and assist with supervising your team's time and attendance.
  • Communication: Lead daily meetings with your team to set the tone for the day and ensure open communication.
  • Work Environment: Maintain a safe, organized, and neat work environment and assist with other duties as needed or assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Experience: At least 2-4 years of warehouse experience with 1-2 years in a lead/supervisor role.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to build, train, and lead a successful team.
  • Reliability: Ability to work in a punctual, dependable, and reliable manner.
  • Overtime and Weekends: Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed, and six-day work weeks are generally required in the month of December with the possible need of seventh days before Christmas.
  • Computer Skills: Computer skills necessary, including Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Excel, Word, and High Jump WMS.
  • Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented, organized, and paying attention to accuracy and processes.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Work Ethic: Positive work ethic and attitude.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly stand and frequently walk throughout the warehouse, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance while picking orders, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
