Service Operations Specialist

As a Service Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and support during field operations related to product installation and warranty fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of field service engagements.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant state and federal regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.
  • Abide by site-specific protocols and guidelines.
  • Facilitate coordination with clients and their contractors during on-site visits.
  • Supervise installation activities at various locations.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all service-related tasks.
  • Execute installation or repair work on electrical, mechanical, painted, or fabricated systems.
  • Utilize hand tools and powered equipment, and work at elevated heights as necessary.
  • Act as the primary liaison for customers regarding ongoing or new issues.
  • Maintain and manage the service vehicle effectively.
  • Oversee on-site employee performance, address concerns, and communicate effectively with the Service Manager.
  • Provide training to team members on new responsibilities and assist with production tasks when not traveling.
  • Collaborate with shop supervisors, staff, production management, and design engineers.
  • Adhere to established quality standards and practices.
  • Keep a clean and organized work environment.
  • Engage in manufacturing and maintenance tasks during non-field service periods.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications:
  • 30-hour OSHA certification (to be completed and maintained).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Passport.
Experience:
  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Electrical expertise is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with employees, vendors, and customers at all levels.
  • A commitment to team building, coaching, and employee development.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as job cost and inventory management software.
  • Ability to read and interpret structural and electrical schematics.
  • In-depth knowledge of heavy steel fabrication, welding, sheet metal work, industrial painting, electrical processes, rigging, and logistics.
  • Familiarity with current production processes.
  • Willingness to enhance skill sets to understand all facets of manufacturing.
  • Capability to support manufacturing operations during non-travel periods.
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Compensation:

Starting at $21.00 per hour.
