Summary/Objective

The Field Service Technician role is essential for executing a wide range of responsibilities to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain client equipment.

Essential Functions

1. Execute diverse tasks to install and service fluid management products.

2. Provide urgent and unscheduled repairs of pumping systems during operational hours and conduct routine maintenance on equipment.

3. Carry out basic machinist tasks and responsibilities.

4. Utilize mechanical skills encompassing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

5. Interpret pump manuals and work orders to perform necessary maintenance and service.

6. Identify issues, replace or repair components, test, and adjust as needed.

7. Conduct regular preventive maintenance on pumps and associated equipment.

8. Employ a variety of hand and power tools, electrical meters, and material handling equipment while performing duties.

9. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Work Environment

While fulfilling the responsibilities of this position, the employee may frequently encounter fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical components, and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment can be considerable.

Physical Demands

The physical requirements outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. This position is highly active and requires continuous standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must regularly lift and/or move items exceeding 75 pounds. Specific vision capabilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time hourly position. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of overtime.

Travel

This position necessitates frequent travel to various locations as required. The company provides a vehicle and a company credit card for most expenses incurred.

Required Education and Experience

- High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Education and Experience

- Post-secondary education or completion of a trade school is preferred but not mandatory.
