Service Operations Supervisor

Role Overview: As a Service Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of field service technicians, ensuring the seamless execution of service operations while optimizing resource utilization. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional service quality and enhancing customer satisfaction through effective workflow management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all field service activities, including warranty work, unit installations, and various service requests.
- Manage the performance and development of field service technicians, addressing concerns and recognizing achievements.
- Engage local contractors for necessary field service tasks and maintain strong relationships with service providers.
- Assess equipment and tool requirements for field operations.
- Prepare budget forecasts and monitor the financial performance of the service team.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to communicate site activities, schedules, and resolutions to clients.
- Work alongside the PM/Engineering Coordinator to arrange travel logistics for field service personnel.
- Provide training for new responsibilities and assist with production tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with shop supervisors, production management, and design engineers to ensure operational efficiency.
- While at the facility, focus on quality assurance to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- This role may require travel approximately 25%-50% of the time.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in management, business, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in field service management.
- Strong leadership capabilities and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and compliance regulations.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Electrical expertise is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with employees, vendors, and customers.
- A commitment to team building, coaching, and employee development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and job cost/inventory control software.
- Ability to interpret structural and electrical schematics.
- Comprehensive knowledge of heavy steel fabrication, welding, sheet metal work, industrial painting, electrical processes, rigging, and transportation.
- Familiarity with current production processes.
