JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Administrative Support Specialist will execute clerical tasks and act as the primary point of contact for visitors, stakeholders, parents, and students. This role includes assisting with record maintenance and database administration related to the functioning of the educational institution and its instructional programs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct general receptionist activities
- Oversee the online database system that contains attendance, enrollment, and student academic records
- Manage the inventory of office supplies and facilitate the purchasing process
- Handle requests for student information between educational institutions and external agencies
- Engage in Professional Development Training sessions
- Exhibit effective time management, documentation, and organizational capabilities
- Demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to operate with minimal supervision
- Prioritize and execute tasks efficiently
- Show proficiency with current technology and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- High School diploma or GED
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience in the private sector may be considered.
