Position Summary:
We are looking for a committed Administrative Support Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in providing support to the Small Business Administration (SBA) office. The primary focus will be on managing inbound and outbound communication in a call center setting, with a strong emphasis on achieving performance metrics. Additionally, you will assist with various administrative duties related to document management, record keeping, and mailroom operations.

Key Duties:

  • Engage in inbound and outbound communication, dedicating 90-95% of your time to calls.
  • Meet a target of at least 300 calls weekly, with top performers reaching up to 600 calls.
  • Support various administrative functions as required.
  • Maintain and verify financial records and other documentation, both manually and digitally.
  • Compile and verify statistical reports for accuracy.
  • Address and resolve complaints, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior clerks to ensure departmental standards are met.
  • Interpret and apply limited guides and manuals for task execution.
  • Achieve and uphold production and quality benchmarks.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, including at least 1 year in a similar role.
  • Strong background in customer service.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Proficient in following Standard Operating Procedures and executing instructions.
  • Strong reading comprehension and keyboarding skills.
  • Effective time management abilities.
  • Consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Attention to detail, particularly in daily report reconciliation.
  • Capability to lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to transport objects using assistive equipment as needed.
  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust security clearance prior to employment.
