Position Overview

Infinity is on the lookout for a proficient Intermediate Software Engineer to become part of our expanding team.

In this capacity, you will play a vital role in a dynamic operational program environment by creating new functionalities, diagnosing and resolving issues, and assisting with real-time satellite launch operations.

This position offers the chance to maintain and enhance a satellite ground system, supporting Mission Applications, Graphical User Interface (GUI) development, and database interactions.

Key Responsibilities:


Engage in all aspects of the software design, development, and integration lifecycle for software and database modifications as identified by program personnel, particularly regarding Command and Telemetry processing.

This encompasses analyzing change requests and requirements for new software support capabilities; integrating software, COTS/GOTS; implementing software using Java, C/C++, Python scripts, SQL, and NoSQL database applications, along with other programming tools.

Tackle technically complex challenges and proactively advance system requirements.

Assist in rehearsals and launch day activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Level 2:
2 years of experience utilizing Java for software application development.

Level 3:
5 years of experience utilizing Java for software application development.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with the Spring Boot framework and related services. Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, Vue, etc.). Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).

Experience mentoring junior engineers within an agile development team.

Experience establishing/configuring continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Experience with distributed version control systems, such as Git.

Experience working in an agile development environment.

Understanding of agile terminology, methodology, and lifecycle.

Experience developing Java applications using the Spring application framework.

Knowledge of Microservices architecture.

Experience with Splunk for log aggregation and monitoring.

Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL syntax.

Experience with space command and control operations and concepts. Familiarity with satellite ground system principles.

Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its basic services.

Experience with Apache Camel messaging service.

Experience with JBoss Enterprise Application Platform hosting, configuration, and deployment.

Experience with Oracle Database management and maintenance.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.

Clearance Requirement:

Must possess an Active TS/SCI DoD security clearance AND an adjudicated CI Polygraph [U.S. Citizenship required].
