Mission:

Quantum is in search of a committed and skilled Senior Software Developer to deliver Software Development, Network, and AWS Cloud support within Quantum's Software Factory. This role will involve working with DoD, MDA, BIA, OGA, and commercial clients on development and integration initiatives related to innovations in Space, Near Space, Space Control, Missile Defense Capabilities, resource management, and information operations for a diverse range of customers and end users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with fellow developers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and sustain software applications.
  • Adopt and implement programming best practices to ensure the delivery of superior code.
  • Engage in pair programming and provide constructive feedback to colleagues.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues while striving for continuous improvement.
  • Participate actively in learning opportunities, both independently and through mentorship.
  • Lead project teams and mentor junior and mid-level developers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Programming, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Over 10 years of experience in relevant software development.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Strong grasp of programming fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills, as well as version control (e.g., Git).
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and programming languages.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies.
  • Experience with various programming languages.
  • Proficient in office technology and equipment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and coaching abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Experience with web development technologies.
  • Network Engineering expertise.
  • AWS Cloud Engineering experience.
  • Strong planning, critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
