We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software solutions for the Sentinel program.
Key Responsibilities- Develop software requirements and detailed integration software test plans, procedures, and test readiness reviews.
- Execute software qualification and acceptance testing per those requirements, plans, and procedures.
- Develop automated testing solutions using custom automation software libraries.
- Participate in internal and customer software test planning working groups.
- Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment specific to software.
- Compile data and define changes required in test equipment, test procedures, or new test requirements.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, testing houses, software development engineers, and other stakeholders involved in the testing process.
- Review software test plans, procedures, and reports, witness testing as the Cognizant Engineer.
- Participate in technical exchange meetings, interfacing with customers (internal/external) and contributing to a broad range of program deliverables.
- Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
- 3-5 years of experience developing software/writing code/software test in JavaScript.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate issues and help provide solutions across teams/sites.
- Familiarity with software development processes.
- Experience in Object-Oriented Programming languages and/or Scripting languages.
- Experience operating in an Agile environment.
- Experience with Python.
- US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance (awarded within the past 6 years) with Special Access Program (SAP).
- Experience with Java.
- Experience with Junit.
- Experience with React.
- Experience with using any of the Atlassian software tools sets (JIRA, Confluence).
- Ability to effectively communicate and present to project and program management, other technical managers, and customers.
- Experience using and interacting with APIs.
- Experience with database structures.
- Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Experience in test automation tools and procedures.
- Experience in analyzing software requirements and developing software tests.
- Experience with distributed version control software (Git, Mercurial, SubVersion).

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
