Job Summary

The Accounts Payable Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial services and corporate accounting teams. This position requires a high level of honesty, objectivity, maturity, and efficiency in approaching daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process invoices and check requests, including coding, approval, and payment for our financial services and corporate accounting teams.
  • Obtain proper approval of invoices, check registers, and checks.
  • Work with vendors to resolve invoice and payment questions.
  • Prepare vendor setup/change forms with appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Assist with vendor ACH setup.
  • Ensure vendor compliance with insurance requirements.
  • Process initial purchase order setup in Newstar, as well as change orders as necessary.
  • Assist Staff Accountant, Senior Accountant, and FS Accounting Manager with projects as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • College Accounting Courses preferred.
  • At least 1-2 years of AP experience required.
  • Microsoft Excel

Physical Requirements
