We are seeking a passionate and innovative Applied Scientist to contribute to the Alexa Kids Experience team. Key Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end applied science projects in machine learning, from concept to execution.
  • Analyze extensive user data to derive insights and inform product development.
  • Develop and maintain scalable machine learning models, ensuring robust training and validation processes.
  • Stay updated with advancements in machine learning and apply cutting-edge techniques to natural language processing challenges.
  • Publish research findings in reputable scientific journals and conferences.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in building models for business applications.
  • PhD or Master's degree with 4+ years of experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
  • Experience in algorithms, data structures, data mining, and distributed computing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
  • Experience in professional software development.

Compensation

Our compensation reflects the labor market across various U.S. regions. The base salary for this position ranges from $136,000 to $222,200, depending on location and experience. Additional compensation may include equity, sign-on bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package.
