Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Principal Scientist to drive innovation in the advanced production lifecycle of studios, enhance automation, and elevate visual storytelling. This leader will leverage scientific research and practical applications to influence product strategies and develop groundbreaking solutions that enhance customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- As a Senior Principal Scientist within the Prime Video Studios Technology team, you will establish the scientific vision and collaborate with diverse teams of scientists and engineers to translate business needs into actionable outcomes.
- You will enhance the application of science, particularly in Computer Vision and Deep Learning, across various stages of the studios' operations, including pre-production, production, and post-production.
- Your leadership will guide pioneering research and provide strategic insights to implement Generative AI solutions within Prime Video Studios Technology.
- You will also develop solutions that can be utilized by partner teams and content providers, representing Prime Video at both internal and external scientific conferences.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- 15+ years of experience in industry or academia focused on machine learning model development.
- Expertise in creating complex, real-time systems involving Computer Vision and Deep Learning.
- Strong knowledge of Generative AI and foundational models.
- A proven record of peer-reviewed scientific publications that contribute to the advancement of applied science.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in media production, including virtual productions and special effects.
- Strong foundation in Computational Linguistics, NLP, and machine translation.
- Ability to think strategically and provide direction to teams.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate effectively.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale, cross-functional projects.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
