Role Responsibilities: In this position, you will collaborate closely with our proprietary Machine Learning accelerators, including Inferentia and Trainium, which are at the cutting edge of AWS's advancements in machine learning capabilities, supporting solutions like Generative AI.
The Automated Reasoning Group within the AWS Neuron Compiler team focuses on the synergy between Artificial Intelligence and program analysis, aiming to elevate the quality of our compiler stack. As an Applied Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying analyzers for various ML compiler stages and Intermediate Representations (IRs). Your contributions will also include the design and semantics of Domain-Specific Languages (DSLs) that enhance our customers' experience in developing neural architectures.
Key Contributions: You will architect and implement essential tools, publish groundbreaking research, and mentor a talented team of scientists and engineers. It is essential to be technically proficient, credible, and inquisitive as a trusted AWS Neuron engineer, driving innovation for our customers. Your duties will encompass addressing significant challenges alongside a skilled engineering team, contributing to state-of-the-art design and research in compiler technology and deep learning systems software.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline
- A robust publication record
- Experience in hands-on compiler or tool development
Preferred Skills:
- Publications in programming languages, compilers, static analysis, or verification
- Experience mentoring junior researchers
- Engagement with a broader community of compiler users and developers
