Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to the warehouse team, ensuring efficient coordination and execution of workflow.
  • Oversee inventory control functions, including cycle counts, product rotation, and recall.
  • Direct and oversee job assignments and plan daily labor schedules.
  • Participate in the hiring and training process of new warehouse employees.
  • Audit operations to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and legality standards.
  • Work closely with Customer Service personnel to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with all levels of the USCS team.
  • Provide leadership and communication to maximize individual and team performance.
  • Act on behalf of the General Manager as needed.
Requirements
  • 4-year College Degree or 5+ years supervisory experience in a similar industry/business.
  • Warehouse supervision and operations experience, preferably in a food or temperature-controlled environment.
  • Radio frequency and other warehouse computer applications, such as MS Office and Lotus Notes.
  • Detail and customer service oriented.
  • Planning, organizing, professional written and oral communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and excellent mathematical skills.
  • Ability to lead and influence others to take positive action.
  • Handle multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced team environment.
Working Conditions

The Operations Manager will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, requiring the ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods, see, speak, and hear. The position may require physical effort associated with using the computer or occasional standing, walking, lifting. The ability to work overtime as needed is also required.
