Position Overview

The Senior Manager, CMO Sourcing plays a pivotal role in the development, negotiation, and management of contractual agreements with Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs) for the supply of our marketed products and future innovations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the CMO Procurement Supply Strategy across designated CMOs.
  • Formulate the cost management strategy and report to the Director, NA CMO Procurement on the execution of cost reduction initiatives and associated objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance supply relationships with CMOs, focusing on cost, service, quality, lead time, working capital, and innovation.
  • Collaborate with Direct Procurement regarding raw materials and packaging expenditures within the assigned CMO.
  • Establish standard operational processes aligned with Global directives, Integrated Sourcing Program, and Contract Life Cycle Management.
  • Promote the CMO model throughout the organization, ensuring effective communication with the CMO team.
  • Implement and maintain robust contract compliance processes across assigned CMOs.
  • Evaluate and improve CMO material management capabilities to meet business requirements.

Performance Goals

  • Achieve cost reduction targets across assigned CMOs to support annual savings goals.
  • Implement negotiation strategies to establish a strong cost foundation.
  • Drive standardized processes across CMO Procurement responsibilities.
  • Manage key strategic contracts and commercial relationships for assigned CMOs/categories.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory standards while continuously improving quality processes.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement/Cost Management, Engineering, or Life Sciences.
  • 5+ years of experience in Procurement or Relationship Management with external partners/CMOs.
  • Expertise in sourcing strategy and procurement, including supplier negotiations and RFX processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel and PowerBI.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree/MBA in relevant fields.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams towards a unified strategic vision.
  • Proven success in implementing cost reduction programs across various technologies.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive towards common objectives.
