Job Title: Professional Engineer II

We are seeking a highly skilled Professional Engineer II to join our Water Resources team at Moore Engineering, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing and designing stormwater plans, calculating and preparing documents for projects, and ensuring timely completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and design stormwater plans, calculate and prepare documents for projects, including details, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets for moderately complex projects and ensure timely completion.
  • Prepare funding applications and preliminary engineer reports.
  • May serve as a designated client contact.
  • Prepare bids or negotiations, including pre-bid conferences, interpretations, and post-bid evaluations.
  • Stamp or seal work prepared by you or under your direct supervision.
  • Participate in pre-project presentations, interviews, and promotions as requested.
  • Oversee personnel assigned to projects in which you are the lead engineer.
  • Establish and maintain cordial and professional working relations with clients and contractors.
  • Travel as required for project meetings, client meetings, or to construction sites.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer in ND or ability to obtain registration within six months.
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in civil engineering.
  • Knowledge of financing programs in ND and/or MN preferred.
  • Complete and thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of engineering.
  • Ability to prepare engineering records and write concise technical reports.
  • Emphasis in stormwater modeling and analysis preferred.
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable.
