Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostics Engineer II to join our team at Detroit Engineered Products. As a Diagnostics Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in evaluating design changes and modifications for diagnostics implications and recommending improvements where feasible.

In this role, you will interact closely with lead diagnostics engineers and design engineers to assess and improve the design to meet product requirements and customer needs. You will work in a fast-paced environment while adapting to changing priorities and taskings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and communicate regularly with a team of engineers and leadership to assess and improve the design.
  • Provide planning and execution support to different phases of the project through the life of a program from concept to fielding.
  • Leverage physical, hands-on prototypes to provide rapid feedback to the design team.
  • Contribute to and provide input to team direction and responsibility for continuous learning with a focus on domain skills and model-based, digital engineering enterprise capabilities.
  • Work across functional teams to support development of diagnostics and testability designs using model-based techniques for complex weapons systems.

Requirements:

  • Review and evaluation of electrical circuit diagrams.
  • Analyzing system and subsystem designs for diagnostics deficiencies and recommending potential corrective action.
  • Developing strategies, testing, and analysis methods for complex problems.
  • Performing troubleshooting on electrical/electronic and computer assemblies at a sub-system and system level using the most effective method.
  • Conducting diagnostics analyses to include diagnostics modeling, test logic, failure analysis, etc.
  • Familiarity with model-based analysis tools such as eXpress or Cameo.

Experience Required:
Review and evaluation of electrical circuit diagrams.
