Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch Operations Manager to lead our General Branch Management team at McNaughton-McKay Electric Company. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all branch internal operations, ensuring continuous improvement, positive leadership, and providing quality services to our external and internal customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all day-to-day operations of the branch location, including relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Lead and direct the efforts of branch staff, ensuring all employees are trained and following all safety guidelines.
  • Responsible for managing Profit & Loss statements and forecasting for the branch.
  • Improve customer relationships with an emphasis on excellent customer service.
  • Coach and train employees to achieve maximum productivity through teambuilding and teamwork.
  • Accountable for reports and documents regarding Revenue, Inventory, Freight, Labor, and Controllable Expenses.
  • Deliver financial results, including revenue, margin, and return on capital employed, P&L accountability.
  • Develop and initiate strategies to increase market share, including new products and existing business.
  • Work closely with other departments or business units and directly with customers.
  • Support the Sales Team in soliciting customers and growing market share.
  • Motivate the workforce by exercising professionalism driven by the highest ethical standards.
  • Provide a work environment for employees dedicated to their safety and healthy work conditions.
  • Responsible for overseeing all cycle counting and inventory reconciliation.
  • Review stock material replenishment and stock out purchases to forecast usage and possible inventory.
  • Review open purchase orders, unbilled deliveries, expedite material, and audit procurement cards.
  • Initiate and follow continuous change, as well as creating solutions for process design/re-design.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant business experience and knowledge, including drilling, oil and gas production, electrical, and/or pipeline.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as marketing and negotiating skills.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to make and be responsible for decisions, while following established guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Analytical skills, objectivity, and organizational skills.
