Optical Retail Store Leader

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary role of the Optical Retail Store Leader is to guide and inspire the team within the Luxottica framework.
This position is crucial in achieving performance metrics by embodying the Brand Story and ensuring an exceptional customer journey.
Responsibilities include:
- Demonstrating a commitment to outstanding Customer Service by ensuring that staff adheres to the Sales and Service Process.
- Exhibiting the Diamond Service Principles and Service Vision with every customer interaction.
- Providing hands-on training and mentorship to team members using company resources.
- Evaluating store financial performance and proposing actionable strategies to enhance profitability.
- Aiming for excellence in various performance metrics, including Net Promoter Score (NPS), Sales to Plan, Customer Count, and Store Operating Profitability.
- Recruiting and selecting top-tier talent.
- Forecasting staffing requirements utilizing labor scheduling tools.
- Handling administrative tasks such as payroll and inventory oversight.
- Inspiring associates to deliver customer experiences that surpass expectations, as noted through the NPS portal.
- Collaborating with the Doctor of Optometry to strategize and enhance service delivery.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies regarding inventory management and safety protocols.
- Conducting regular safety assessments of the store environment.
- Maintaining a safe and enjoyable workplace for both employees and customers.
- Upholding the visual standards of the store to convey a consistent brand message.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 4 years of management or supervisory experience.
- A solid understanding of operations, processes, and their business implications.
- Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities.
- Effective team-building and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of current optical practices and merchandise.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Proficiency in basic mathematics.
- Sales acumen.
- Familiarity with cash handling and computer systems.
- Ability to manage time effectively under pressure.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ideal candidates may also have:
- A college degree or equivalent.
- State licensure or ABO Certification (where applicable).
- Previous experience in retail and customer service.
- A comprehensive understanding of store merchandise.
- Strong business acumen, including familiarity with performance dashboards.
Compensation for this position will be influenced by various factors, including experience, qualifications, and local wage standards.
