About the Role
Raytheon is seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to join our Advanced Airborne Radio Frequency department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and cost-effective Electronic Warfare solutions to support our Electronic Support (ES) and Electronic Attack (EA) capability development.
Key Responsibilities
- Determine product or system requirements based on customer information and provide traceability to these requirements.
- Decide how to capture requirements in specific documents such as specifications and interface control documents.
- Ensure requirements are clear, concise, understandable, and verifiable.
- Document and retrieve the source of requirements.
- Trace the flow of requirements between different parts of the program.
- Assess the impact of requirement changes on the overall system and subsystems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of EW/Radar systems design and requirements engineering experience.
- Experience with system lifecycle and product maturity.
- Experience with requirements management and/or developing Systems Engineering products.
- Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and digital thread concepts.
- Experienced presenter preparing and presenting reports and briefings.
- Experience with Modeling and Simulation, agile DevSecOps delivery pipelines, and software development principals.
- Experience with tools such as Matlab/Simulink, DOORS, DNG, Cameo, Jira, and Confluence.
- Earned Value Management / Cost Account Management experience.
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with investigation within five years.
