Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive post-silicon validation and characterization plans for PCIe interfaces.
  • Collaborate closely with design, architecture, and firmware teams to define test cases, ensuring complete coverage of functional, performance, and power specifications.
  • Expertly select, configure, and operate a wide array of test equipment, including oscilloscopes, BERTs, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
  • Develop and implement automated test scripts and frameworks to enhance the efficiency and repeatability of testing processes.
  • Perform in-depth debugging and root cause analysis of complex hardware and firmware issues related to PCIe interfaces.
  • Lead the bring-up and validation of PCIe interfaces on new silicon, working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve any issues.
  • Produce comprehensive reports documenting test results, insightful analyses, and clear conclusions.
  • Stay abreast of the latest PCIe technologies and specifications through continuous learning and development.
  • Serve as a mentor and technical resource for junior engineers, guiding them in validation, characterization, and debugging methodologies.
Requirements:
  • BSEE or MSEE with 7+ years of experience in post-silicon validation and characterization, specializing in high-speed interfaces, particularly PCIe.
  • Deep understanding of PCIe protocols and specifications, including various generations and link widths.
  • Proven expertise in operating and automating test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, BERTs, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
  • Strong debugging skills with experience in identifying and resolving complex hardware and firmware issues related to high-speed interfaces.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or TCL for automating tests and analyzing data.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, thriving in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring junior engineers.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with silicon bring-up and debug
  • Familiarity with lab equipment's & automation software

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is [$125,000 to $160,000 per year].

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
