We are seeking a dedicated Engineering Program Manager or technical leader to plan for and lead silicon bring-up and debug of groundbreaking and innovative CPU designs.

You will use your creativity, technical knowledge, and organizational skills to drive multi-functional teams to take on complex technical problems under tight schedule constraints.

The CPU Engineering Project Manager will be embedded in the CPU team, driving post-silicon planning, bring-up, and debug activities.

You will work closely with Design, Verification, Silicon Validation, Software, Power, Performance Validation, System, and many other groups to resolve silicon issues blocking product development, starting with initial silicon bring-up through production release and beyond.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing post-silicon validation plans (what needs to be tested, by whom, and when).
  • Driving debug of silicon issues (functional, electrical, performance, etc.) with CPU and multi-functional teams.
  • Coordinating and prioritizing debug tasks and experiments, and following up on action items.
  • Supervising issues and bugs across multiple projects and working with software, system, and other teams to get them resolved.
  • Focused issue reporting and communication of program risks & status in multi-functional and executive forums.
  • Materials management (parts, boards, etc.).

Requirements:

  • BS + 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven Silicon development experience in Design, Verification, Implementation, Physical Design, DFT, or Validation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPU development experience.
  • Experience in debug of CPU logic and circuit failures.
  • Technical leadership and/or project management experience.
  • Strong communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Strong time and task leadership skills with consistent attention to detail.
  • Strong organization skills to organize self and the team's execution.
  • Knowledge of CPU microarchitecture and validation tools.
  • Able to build trust and lead through influence.
  • Comfortable navigating tough situations, balancing priorities, and managing constraints while running sophisticated, fast-paced programs.

Additional Requirements:

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and performance.
