Job Summary

The Warehouse Shift Lead is a critical role responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of daily warehouse operations. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills to align with various teams, including the Warehouse Coordinator, Dock Coordinators, Inventory Coordinator, and Palletizer Technicians, to achieve all warehouse KPIs on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute daily dock operations, including inbound and outbound loads, to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Coordinate ABC slotting and bin management to optimize storage and retrieval efficiency.
  • Coordinate team breaks and coverage to maintain a productive and safe work environment.
  • Ensure daily warehouse KPIs are met, including productivity, quality, and safety metrics.
  • Execute daily warehouse plans, including detailed shift handoffs and reporting.
  • Organize and maintain the loader SHO and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with Planning, Transport, Production, and Palletizer teams to ensure daily targets are met.
  • Provide vacation coverage for Shipping, Receiving, Yard, and Dock Office departments.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the warehouse, dock office, and yard.
  • Operate the yard truck to move trailers to and from the docks and yard as needed.
  • Perform truck loading and unloading as required to ensure achievement of PPLH KPIs.
  • Support and drive positive results through commitment to the operational meeting (LWOR).
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet the current needs of the business.
  • Maintain professional and positive interactions with carriers.
Requirements
  • Two to three years of previous shipping and receiving experience.
  • Prior forklift experience.
  • Proficient computer skills, including SAP experience.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple people and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a group environment, leading peers as needed.
  • Able to work flexible schedules to cover team members when necessary.
