Job Summary

The Human Resources Director position at CFGC, Inc. is responsible for the strategic management and operations of the Human Resources Department and Risk Management. This role requires a strong leader who can provide direction for all human resources-related policies and procedures, programs, and activities. The successful candidate will serve as a member of the management team and assist the CFGC office in implementing strategic objectives and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance employee retention, including onboarding, hiring, performance reviews, compensation, training, and benefits.
  • Monitor and manage the annual budget for the Human Resources Department and self-insurance fund.
  • Plan, organize, and direct the staff and activities of the Human Resources Department.
  • Provide advice, guidance, coaching, training, and expertise on employee relations to supervisors and employees.
  • Participate in onboarding and NEO activities.
  • Oversee employee retirement systems, employee health plans, employee compensation, and worker's compensation in accordance with Federal and State statutes, regulations, and plan documents.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations as needed.
  • Lead in talent retention and development.
  • Conduct exit interviews with terminating employees.
  • Ensure compliance with employee annual review processes and various federal, state, and program regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Public or Business Administration, or related field.
  • Five years of professional experience in human resources or general city management.
  • Three years of experience in a human resources supervisory position, preferably at the director or assistant director level.
  • Certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SHRM) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Society for Human Resources Management Professional Certification (SHRM-CP) preferred.
