Position Overview

As a key contributor in this role, you will be responsible for offering expert guidance on dose allocation and maintaining accurate dosimetry records. Your commitment to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) practices and policies will be essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise on the standards for personal protective equipment utilized in operations.
  • Initiate fundamental health physics support services to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Apply principles of radiation safety, dosimetry, and health physics instrumentation to provide effective support.
  • Collaborate as part of a team to oversee and maintain a segment of Health Physics Technology (HPT) services.
Qualifications

To excel in this position, you should possess a solid understanding of health physics concepts, principles, and techniques, along with familiarity in related fields.

Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including the Code of Federal Regulations, DOE Orders, and ANSI standards, is crucial for guiding radiation protection programs.

Desired Credentials
  • A Master’s degree in health physics or a related scientific or engineering discipline.
  • Practical experience in radiological controls or health physics.
