Essential Qualifications

Possess a solid understanding of health physics concepts, methodologies, and techniques, along with a working knowledge of associated fields.

Familiarity with the Code of Federal Regulations, DOE Orders, and ANSI standards that guide and dictate requirements for radiation protection initiatives is necessary.


Preferred Qualifications

A Master's degree in health physics or a related engineering or scientific field.
Relevant technical experience in radiological controls or health physics.

Security Clearance Requirements


Compliance with DOE regulations necessitates a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation, which includes checks of personal references, credit history, criminal records, and verification of employment and education.

Positions may require candidates to secure and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which mandates U.S. citizenship.

Factors such as background review results, dual citizenship, and tax compliance may influence the ability to obtain a security clearance.
