Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain insurance information from patients and provide alternative financial assistance options.

  • Explain the billing process to patients and answer incoming inquiries from patients and third-party payers.
  • Assist with basic account maintenance activities and explain the billing process to other staff members.
  • Assist patients with insurance questions regarding the billing process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions

This role is based in a normal office environment with occasional patient care settings. You may be required to travel to other clinics according to business needs.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
  • Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or CPR St Louis).
  • 3 years of experience in billing systems, third-party claims, and/or medical office settings, with related customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Financial information, insurance, and interpersonal relationships skills.
