Job Summary and Qualifications
The Emergency Services Nursing Supervisor is responsible for organizing and overseeing patient care operations on an ongoing basis.
This role focuses on enhancing patient outcomes through effective management of human resources, staff training, and continuous process improvement.
The Nursing Supervisor serves as a role model for excellence in quality care, customer satisfaction, and quality enhancement, engaging with medical staff both informally and formally to improve patient outcomes.
Critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership are essential in anticipating and planning for patient care needs.
The Nursing Supervisor is accountable for the planning, directing, and delivery of nursing care in accordance with established standards, policies, and the Florida Nurse Practice Act.
Qualifications:
- Current Florida Registered Nurse license or recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements).
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
