Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front Office Manager to join our team at Residence Inn Lexington North. As a key member of our hotel staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our front office and providing exceptional customer service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the front office team to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
  • Provide outstanding customer care and maintain a friendly demeanor to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Respond professionally to guest inquiries and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to maximize room occupancy and revenue.
  • Train, direct, and resolve issues for front desk team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Ensure accurate processing of hotel charges and invoices to maintain financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front office environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Correspond with group and travel agents to facilitate special requests and ensure seamless communication.
  • Assist with sales and marketing efforts as directed to promote hotel services and increase revenue.
  • Maintain strong relationships with other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Operate EPBX equipment and manage cash transactions to ensure efficient and secure financial operations.
  • Update and action the front office and hotel logbooks to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance.
  • Follow guest check-in and security procedures to ensure the safety and security of our guests.
  • Take responsibility in the absence of the General Manager to ensure continuity of operations and guest satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience/training.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills to effectively manage and motivate the front office team.
  • Detail-oriented with planning and organizational abilities to ensure efficient operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Computer and accounting knowledge to accurately process hotel charges and invoices.
  • Alcohol awareness certification and other required certifications to ensure compliance with hotel policies and regulations.
Working Conditions
  • Work nights, weekends, and holidays to ensure 24/7 guest service.
  • Fast-paced environment with high guest expectations and demands.
  • On-call responsibilities when away from work to ensure continuity of operations and guest satisfaction.
