Key Responsibilities

The Construction Operations Coordinator will support the Roers General Contracting team in ensuring the successful execution of various projects.

  • Assist in project initiation, documentation management, and project close-out processes, utilizing relevant software tools.
  • Attend design and preconstruction meetings to track project progress and outstanding tasks.
  • Maintain a daily log detailing work completed, personnel present, material deliveries, and any delays.
  • Collaborate with the project team on active items in project management software, ensuring timely completion of submittals, RFIs, contracts, change orders, safety documentation, and close-out materials.
  • Facilitate document management and distribution of plans and specifications.
  • Organize project-related documentation, ensuring all materials are current and accurately filed.
  • Manage project communications by preparing and reviewing memos, meeting notes, and emails.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and maintain these connections throughout the project lifecycle, anticipating future collaboration opportunities.
  • Support daily office operations for the Director and team members.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in administrative roles, preferably within the construction sector.
  • Familiarity with the construction industry and its various trades.
  • Understanding of construction specifications and standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, as well as Bluebeam and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with project management software is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and manage relationships effectively.
  • Resourceful problem solver with a quick learning ability.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Willingness to travel locally as needed.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial mindset, making informed decisions that prioritize clients and team members.
  • Demonstrate high integrity, being trustworthy and straightforward.
  • Passionate about contributing to the company’s objectives and vision.
