Job Title: Electrical Engineer for Energy Storage Systems

Gotion, Inc. is a leading power battery technology company that provides innovative solutions for electric vehicles and energy storage systems. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Silicon Valley, California.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to develop and review performance modeling of LFP battery energy storage systems. The successful candidate will work closely with our internal applications engineering team to support sales staff in providing robust energy storage system proposals and project designs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with battery storage system BoS (Balance of System) suppliers to drive integration efforts between Gotion's energy storage products with downstream equipment.
  • Develop and review performance modeling of LFP battery energy storage systems, and provide guidance to external customers in modeling methodologies.
  • Develop and review system electrical designs, including but not limited to cable sizing, short circuit protection, component and system grounding, auxiliary system loading, etc.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, or other relevant engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical hardware integration, power converter design/testing, utility power distribution, or other relevant industry experience.
  • Prior work experience in energy storage, power distribution, solar or other renewable energy strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong preference for P.E. in electrical engineering, experience practicing in CA, IL, or NY.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, CATIA.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS O365 suite including SharePoint, Teams.
Compensation:

The base pay range for this role is $70,000-$90,000 USD. This provides you with the opportunity to progress as you grow and advance your career at Gotion.
