Job Title: Senior Director of Development

Join the YMCA team as a Senior Director of Development and play a key role in increasing donor support and serving as an ambassador for the organization across our service area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, cultivate, and steward new donors to increase overall retention and giving levels.
  • Manage relationships between donors and other stakeholders, including board members and staff.
  • Lead annual appeal campaigns at the Center level and grow the pipeline for major gifts.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Development Officer and Executive Directors to achieve fundraising goals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, plus 3-5 years of experience managing high-level donor relationships.
  • Demonstrated success in closing gifts of $10,000 and above.
  • Ability to conceive, plan, and execute a major gifts program.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office and donor research tools.
Essential Functions:
  • Maintain a personal portfolio of annual and major gift prospects.
  • Develop and implement a written donor strategy and relationship record.
  • Communicate with donors through face-to-face meetings and determined strategies.
  • Support fundraising efforts of Executive Directors and Chief Development Officer.
  • Manage organizational budget and track progress to goal.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Project manage annual appeals at the Center level.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive campaign plan and calendar.
  • Manage revenue projection and expense budget.
  • Work with the Financial Development Team to strategize and execute cultivation events.
