Job Opportunity: Talent Software Services is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the analysis and requirement-gathering needs for the Alto digital banking application project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-depth analysis of business and technical requirements.
  • Facilitate sessions to gather all requirements and create user stories.
  • Document confirmed requirements and work with the Product Owner on User Stories.
  • Provide clarifications and support to project teams during design, development, and testing phases.
  • Understand the Software Development Life Cycle and effectively perform BA tasks for each project phase.
  • Elicit requirements and analyze feasibility to ensure solutions/initiatives achieve expected business outcomes.
  • Support various project teams across the project lifecycle to ensure development is aligned with business requirements.
  • Develop informative, coherent, and usable project documents for multiple stakeholders.
  • Apply domain and functional expertise to drive expected business value.
  • Break down strategic problems and analyze data to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Provide specialized consulting, analytical, and technical support.
  • Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
  • Work independently and handle non-routine situations.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of business analysis experience.
  • Relevant post-secondary degree and agile certifications a strong asset.
  • Strong knowledge of requirement-gathering methods, including interviewing, data modeling, and business process modeling.
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile and Waterfall Methodologies.
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence, MS Office, and Visio.
  • Experience working with SaaS-based products.
  • Previous banking experience required, with former clients an asset.
  • Previous experience in retail banking or deposits preferred.
  • Working experience with Digital Banking Platforms, including account opening and account servicing products.
  • Working experience with retail deposits core banking platforms, including time deposit products.
  • Prior experience with FIS Modern Banking Platform and Digital One products a huge plus.
  • Professional demeanor and comfortable managing stakeholders of any seniority.
  • Experience with ancillary banking systems (GL, sanctions, money movement, ACH).
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking/analytical/problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrates transparency and willingness to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Displays acumen with technical concepts and business/industry knowledge with a strong desire for continuous learning.
